Finally! Castor Oil Packs That Are Easy to Use
I have used castor oil packs for myself and my patients for more than three decades. I first heard about them through the work of Edgar Cayce, who spoke about castor oil packs as the cure for just about everything. His assertions led to a fair amount of research into the mechanisms and effectiveness of castor oil and castor oil packs, which I'll explore in an upcoming podcast.
Castor oil packs — that is, castor oil applied to the skin — seem to work by detoxifying the tissues under the pack; stimulating bile flow, which helps the body rid itself of toxins; stimulating blood flow in the tissues under the pack and improving lymphatic drainage. The conditions I have seen helped by the regular use of castor oil packs include menstrual and fertility problems, chronic inflammation and pain, general toxic symptoms and even weight issues. I have no doubt that castor oil packs belong in the toolbox of every natural healer.
The only issues I had with castor oil packs were that the supplies were often hard to come by, and the procedure was messy and inconvenient.
